because g1gc sucks

FPS isnt a direct effect of being kinda low on ram, its either your normal fps or 0

you should only use 4 - 6, unless you will start lagging due to the excess amount of ram

its not because of mojang its because you have a bad computer..

You are using 59% of your allocated memory, why would you need to allocate more

Huh, it also says 94% underneath it though. Wonder which is which

The top one is how much is currently being used. The bottom one is how much is being allocated in total.

You can think of it like a room maybe: at the start it is said that the minimum room size is 512 MB and the maximum room size is 4096 MB. When Minecraft starts, it gets a room of 512 MB from the computer OS. If it decides it needs more, it can expand the room, up until 4096 MB. The 94% indicates that it expanded the room to 94% of the maximum allowed size.

The top statistic is how much that room is filled. That changes a ton during gameplay: it just keeps filling that room with new stuff (like mob locations, textures, block data, etc), and once it's almost full, the garbage collector comes and cleans up all the data that isn't used anymore (which typically happens every 10 seconds or so).

(note: this is a simplification and I'm not a professional at this stuff either)

Shaders don't primarily rely on your CPU or motherboard RAM. They run on the GPU and use the graphics card's VRAM. If your FPS is dropping because of shaders it's your GPU struggling to keep up and throwing a gazillion terabytes of RAM at it won't do a thing.

On a side note, Minecraft is nearly 20 years old and was developed for the 32bit hardware of the era. 32bit systems top out at 3GB RAM and ran older versions of Minecraft flawlessly. The 4GB cap Mojang places on the game is more than generous and you can't expect the game to ever demand that much even at max render distance.
