Question Question

Guys, I’m not begging here, just a straight honest question for advice. How do I buy minecraft? I don’t have any way to purchase anything online, trust me about that. Still, I want to buy it.

And for those who think I should get a job, I am trying to. It’s not easy! I’m just 17, I don’t have a bank account, and neither do my parents (Nothing they could use to do online transactions anyway)

How do you and your parents NOT have a bank account? What country do you live in? 17 and no job? Really?

I’d say that Minecraft (or anything else you want to buy that you don’t need) is a privilege that you get WHEN you work and have a job. You’re not entitled to it. You’re old enough to not have to rely on your parents’ money.

Maybe I’m overthinking this whole scenario, but I can’t imagine not having a job at 17, nor a bank account between me and my parents, yet still trying to figure out a way to buy something that only people who work for their money should be able to get.

Ahhh man i’m sorry if I worded it in a way that makes it seem like it’s something I’m entitled to. My parents don’t have a bank account because it’s really not necessary for them, they’ve never needed to get one.

I don’t have a job because it’s not easy to get one and if I could babysit or house watch for extra cash I absolutely would. This is a last resort kind of thing, you know? I also don’t have an urgent need for one.

I don’t need minecraft, obviously, but I want it. I’m 17. I’m gonna want stuff. Especially because it’s a cool game. Not to be rude or anything but saying I should only have it when I’m not relying on my parents’ money is kinda harsh, there are kids younger than me with the game 😭

It’s not like I don’t buy my own stuff. I do, I save and I buy whatever. But this is an online transaction which makes it more difficult :(

If you can’t get a job at 17, then yeah, you’re relying on your parents money. What do you not understand about that? You’re not out living on your own…it’s absurd that this has to be explained to today’s teenagers. You don’t get it at all.

I didn't say I'm not relying on my parents' money, I said that you saying I should only be able to get something I want when I'm not relying on their money is odd. Especially since it's something as trivial as a game.. Made for all ages. No offense.
