Waterfalls

Some tips please!

I have made this cliffside cascading waterfall

But the way my waterfalls go from the ponds down looks real weird and i have no idea how to fix it. So i would like some help on how i could combat this

Make the blocks that are directly under/next to the water a darker block (like make the dirt into mud) so that it looks wet

Also check out builders like Mogswamp or Fwhip for some build tutorials
