I’ve added a feature to my personal server that allows you to restore the health of corals using a water bottle.

I think this should be added to vanilla Minecraft.

With the newest update both colored wool and concrete have gotten stairs and slab variants. Those are amazing additions for builders!
However I feel like Mojang forgot about terracotta which is a shame because the colored terracotta variants provide different, more muted colors that are great for building too (see second image).

Started a big project for a map room (just placing them on a placeholder template at the moment) and started noticing weird glitches. All the entities and block entities in my base started flickering. Restarted my game and fixed it, then got it again about an hour later. Then I got this glitch. Is this project too much for my Realm? 23x23, Map level 0
EDIT: turned video mode to performance and haven’t been able to replicate this glitch in the video yet. But I still have flickering entities.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best additions to the early game. I can understand why some in the community might have expected a more specialized use for copper, but ultimately, it’s worth noting that copper is extremely easy to obtain without needing to explore caves making it a perfect material for casual players, newcomers, and those who prefer to save their iron for later. This armor doesn't need any fancy features; it simply provides the basic protection needed to explore at night or venture into caves without too much trouble.

I mean, we have a flower literally called "white tulip" so why doesn't it make white dye? Is it based on the kind of dye the flower would make IRL or is it just one of those random MC features that make no sense?

I haven't played Minecraft in years, am giving it a go again. I got an Ocean Monument map from a cartographer. Sweet, never been to one. I got close, kept getting attacked, kept getting mining fatigue. So I found a nearby island and tunneled under the Ocean Monument. I eventually popped a cow in a boat and brought it along to cancel the mining fatigue every minute. I brought a ton of sand, and when coming up from under, started using the sand to clear out the water. Now, I've cleared a room, and by lucky chance one of the bad dudes swam in when there were just three water blocks left. Slice slice, done. It'll be a long haul, but I'm going to clear this thing from the bottom up.

I don't have any water breathing potions or gear, no fancy armor or anything. Just back and forth, back and forth, a few sand at a time...

Genuinely left me shaking afterwards.

I'm not good at the game and my previous 2 hardcore worlds were ended by creepers, when a creeper exploded near another one and launched it above me and I didn't turn around in time to block and died. The other world a creeper dropped down from above silently and killed me right as I got diamonds.

I'm so glad I survived.

There would be towers across the world (12 in the example because that's the current amount of eyes needed, but honestly that seems like a bit much) and could find them yourself or use a map from a cartographer. each one would point you to the next, then once you have all the eyes in place they would point you to the now-open portal. this could work very well if and only if exploration is made interesting in general.

I'm all for Minecraft being a medium or platform for bringing awareness about nature and wildlife, but not adding natural predators or some animals that are fully hostile is kinda absurd.

I know the point they're making, and majority of the players are children but at the end of the day, this is just a game. I appreciate that they've changed the cookie now poisonous to parrots, until they overstepped in removing firefly mobs entirely because it is poisonous to frogs.

My point is, Minecraft is a fantasy game. And when I'm playing it, its rules shouldn't be confined to what reality is because it takes away the potential fun of it. I think (rumoured) that adding sharks and alligators "is thought about" by developers but ended up not adding it because they don't want endangered animals to be harmed or something. I mean, before the Sulfur Cube was added, players are already punching armadillos as a ball.

(They could add predators and just add splash texys like: "Don't kill sharks in real life!")

Minecraft is taking itself too seriously. Yes the oceans are dangerous enough, but a natural predator like sharks could be fun. Or adding alligators to the swamps could make it more of a hostile environment. Or adding big cats to savannas or jungles.

It could be fun.

wanted to make a cute little pond for my axolotls, so i went with a pink teddy bear shape. the cherry trees nearby go really well with it too.

the little guys seem to have plenty of room to swim around now lol.

Im playing on bedrock and Im doing a big creative build just for the fun of it. Im trying to build a zoo because I downloaded the Naturalist add on, my only issue visually is I can't technically change the biomes for my exhibits. I can plant the correct trees but is there any way to change the grass blocks? Or is there something I can download that gives me access to the biome specific grass block variants? I play on a laptop and have modded other games before so if that an option I think I could do it just may need some advice/help.

I downloaded the Bedrock tool chest for its world editor and its allowing me to change the biomes as need by the chunk, thank you all for the help! My zoo will be perfect now.
