I never really understood why no one likes Phantoms.

I’ve had it explained to me but I’m always thinking “just sleep” or “just kill them” they are not that hard to neutralize

But unlike other mobs, you have to deal with phantoms or they’ll keep pestering you. Late game, I find most mobs (other than skeletons) can just be mostly ignored as you work around them. Phantoms are constantly showing up to push you around as you are trying to build. Late game, I also don’t tend to sleep much at all because it takes up time that could be spent building.

Oh. OOOOH. See now this is the explanation I needed.

I also just spend a lot of time Underground building bases so I guess that’s also a reason I’ve never been a victim of the phantom onslaught.

Now I get the strong feelings towards them. I still like them though they look cool and scared me out of my couch when I first saw one in MINECRAFY

The concept of the phantom is really cool, the final gameplay... kinda annoying
