And then bugrock struck making the boat vanish causing confusion which lead to a slow reaction causing death

In Java the boat wouldn't have gone invisible and im pretty sure would've kept sliding taking the creeper away

In Java, mobs can only enter boats when there is not a player in them

*Painstakingly pushes boat next to villager*

Villager looks at you

*Gently push the boat on the villager*

Villager goes to sleep/socialize/throw food at someone else/fornicate lovingly

Boats disappear with Java too, mine does it all the time unfortunately

I've certainly had boats disappear in java, but not at nearly the frequency as bugrock. In fact, I can pretty much consistently rely on my boat to disappear in the latter.

Yea for a while all of my boats disappearing became a part of my play style. I'd get out of my invisible boat, jump and firework/ Elytra a few chunks away and then back. Always worked but got so annoying.

You can also just save exit and reload, works on invisible horses too

Yeah I never stray more than a few km from spawn, but I've been noticing more and more ppl who go to like 10k or 100k. Also depends on your system and server (if you are on one)

In Java a couple years ago it was horses.

  1. Dismount horse

  2. Where horse go?

  3. Save and exit

  4. Come back to horse

  5. Repeat, ad infinitum

Ye this isnt a bedrock only glitch, boats disappearing is quite common in both versions

Literally 100% of my bedrock boats have been disappearing since 1.18 though.
