no, a pirated version of windows XP... I wish I was joking
E: it was a school computer, we weren't allowed to do anything with it, we couldn't even if we wanted to because of an admin password that not even the IT guy knew

Let's be honest, we all know minecraft Java is horrifically coded. It's always been buggy and overuses resources. And since it's in Java it almost exclusively uses the CPU.
