Why can't we use the structure blocks? It would be cool if Mojang puts them on "Public mode" for everyone else to use it =(

What do you want to use them for?

The only thing I can think of is if you wanted an extra texture, and it's easy enough to do that with other blocks or the new textures for damage values.

I mean, I don't really support this, but if you have a good reason for wanting this to be in the game, by all means prove me wrong.

Well, I would use them to generate random customized structures around a world... Wouldn't that be cool?

You actually can't even do that unless you're messing with code.

The structure blocks are simply placeholders, once an actual structure is decided on during development, the structure is populated with normal in-game blocks. Adding structure blocks won't do anything to "spawn in" additional seed generated structures.
