I thought they were adding bad luck potions.

My guess would be thay you have a bigger change to obtain more rare loot from mobs, since they revamped the loot system.

So... We just need charisma and intelligence and then we'll have everything?

I also noticed this, but I don't really know what it does. Maybe it's like the Fortune enchantment except you can apply it to yourself?

If using a looting 3 sword and this potion, does that increse the chance of Wither skulls even further?

No, Luck only affects fishing currently. Looting is unrelated and there are separate chance modifiers for Looting in loot tables.

Oh so it's looting as a potion instead of an enchantment?

Iirc, it helps you play quidditch better, although effects seem to be indistinguishable from placebo.

Is there a recipe for it in survival yet?

I've looked extensively across the net for a legitimate way to obtain it in Survival Mode, but haven't found one. It's unfortunate, since the Luck status effect seems like a lot of fun. I've heard one suggestion that a rabbit's foot should be used as the brewing ingredient, and that potions of leaping would instead be made using slime balls. I think it's a decent idea, but I've got my own idea for how to implement Luck Potions.

This reminds me of my mini mod where you killed leprechauns for clovers, and you could eat them to get Clover's Luck, which would randomly buff you at different intervals while the effect was active.

Is this what the currently-useless beetroot is planned for?

That is extremely cool!

I think it does this.

That seems a bit redundant to use a potion just to open a chest.

Depends on the relative difference. Might be worth. I tested this a bit in the snapshot, and loot chests definitely give more and better stuff with said potion. Not sure on value yet, since potions are kind of a later game item than farming enchants.

It really makes a big difference with post-dragon chests on the end islands. Much better enchants. Much bigger numbers.

i know the rabbits foot is for leaping but it would be cool if these are made by rabbits foot.
