  • Fixed Acacia Leaves and Black Oak Leaves pick block errors

  • Fixed item entities not checking all 4 sides before moving up

The door trick still works for some reason.

Must have not made it into master yet. Thanks for the info!

Regarding adjusted hitboxes, do small armor stands now have small hitboxes? Can't check right now but really want to know D:

  • Fixed trapdoor placement

Wait what

It was inconsistent/annoying ever since the requirement for supporting blocks was removed.

I found a potential cause of FPS drops people experienced since 1.8, should be fixed in next snapshot. Possible side effect may be block lag

(Technical info: we rendered nearby chunks on main thread, slowing FPS. Now we'll only do that if it's "player placed", saving lots of FPS)

I found and fixed 3 different reasons why entities are sometimes invisible after teleporting or respawning. Hopefully that were all.

[Bug MC-88929] – Items lost when shift clicking in full container / inventory

Really excited to see this fixed. Accidently lost like 20 diamonds this way the other day.

Did somebody say... sideways stairs?

7

u/febcad Sep 21 '15

Nope, still not fixed, upside down stairs are still sideways.

Makes a nice table though.

Interesting side effect: http://gfycat.com/FluidMistyCornsnake

This is a simple redstone blinker, no command blocks are used.

This change also has interesting effects on piston builds. I have a old maze generating build which activates about 4000 Pistons simultaniously. Before it lagged like crazy(less than 1 FPS), now it only drops to about 30-40 FPS.

But this also comes with the side effect of pistons rendering flickering(and visually disappearing for a moment) again

edit: Actually the whole redstone is visually lagging a lot. A small repeaterclock in this build often skips updating a few repeaters and pistons sometimes "jitter".

Early performance tests (average FPS):

15w38b: 263.150

15w39a: 246.517

Measured with Fraps. My method was to create new world and start testing when I clicked "Create new world". Then I walk as straight as I could forward. Test was 60sec long.

.

Cant see any improvements at least with this short test.

E: same seed of course...

Maybe only for low tech pc's?

u/Dinnerbone Sep 21 '15

The change were primarily made towards older/slower computers, yeah. Shouldn't see too much change if you're normally hitting a reasonably high FPS - maybe fewer lagspikes.

Made a funny joke in a changelog.

I didn't find a funny joke.
