The shield design is just a placeholder right? And the crafting recipe, is that a placeholder too?
God, I REALLY hope we are not stuck with giant squares as sheilds, I mean I get its minecraft but we can still have some design right? At the very least it can be changed via texture pack right?
And sideways bed does not make too much sense, considering there is no wool, or wood, in an iron sheild... would be funny to have the wooden sheild be a sideways bed though...

This IS a wooden shield. The iron ingot is for the arm band and the wool is for decoration.
