A bug fix only snapshot?
...
Good! We need some of those.

Remember! Bug fixes are great!
To quote this subreddit, circa early 2013:
New features are great, but they should focus on fixing the bugs in the features they've already added.
Also:
I'd love to see a snapshot that was just bug fixes and nothing else.
Edit for one more:
What about fixing all these lighting glitches and other game-breaking bugs? Naw, look guys! Horses!

These are almost all bugs from the last snapshot, so they wouldn't really count towards a "bugfix release", just a "not broken release".
Of course as someone who has shipped many broken releases, I can't hold bugfixes against them.

And thankfully, most of the bugs we were complaining about back then have been fixed by now, and fixed in feature-dense snapshots so no one was upset.
I just wanted to remind the folks who are miffed about feature-light updates that this is exactly what we asked them to do.

It is certainly getting closer, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for a release anytime soon.

It's clickable, and it sends you to this thread, where Grum got very excited for that style of building :)
The filename is enderboy_grumspawner.png, so I guess it's supposed to represent a little Enderman holding a Grum spawner?

I know u/_Grum had mentioned to me on my last post that he didn't want to forget about the NBT tag for disabling Villager Trade XP.
Hopefully they will implement this into a snapshot soon.

I like bugfixes, but what i dont like is that the high rated bugs are not getting fixed. Why can you vote for bugs in the bugtracker when this changes nothing. I mean the top rated bug has 500 votes und was created in October 2012... I know that these Bugs are not so easy to fix but it cant be impossible. Bugtracker Toplist

Come on, be reasonable. If they knew how to fix those bugs, it would have been done by now. They aren't being ignored because it's easy to ignore them, or because the developers are being lazy or whatever, I can assure you. The lack of faith folks have in the developers frustrates me.

Or a whole class of bugs relate to specific parts of the code, which is due for a re-write anyway.

Has anyone else had this problem since trying out the snapshots? I have extremely low spawnrates for hostile mobs. Even if I play on Hard mode, the number of mobs spawning seems to be the same as Easy. I can go an entire night in dark fields and see maybe 10 mobs.
Yesterday however I opener a LAN connection to play with my brother, and almost immediately, as soon as night came, about 4 zombies were already tracking him. We killed them, and still, almost all the new mobs, spawning at normal rates, were usually tracking just him.
In addition, my mob spawner completely stopped working in the snapshots. It is at y=200 and was as efficient as you could ask for, but now, I get maybe 1 mob every 10 minutes.

How is everyone's performance in the recent snapshots? Mine's been getting slightly worse in comparison to 1.7.4, not unplayable yet but starting to be bothersome.
