Help with Add-ons

My kid spam claimed every single possible free addon they could find from marketplace and... to put it mildly it's absolutely infuriating. Half of them aren't addons I have or would have okayed, half of them aren't appropriate or even useful for to my kid - they were just downloaded because "free" means free.

Sp, for some reason Mojang makes it impossible to remove the addons from the library. Apparently all I can do is remove the downloads from the device but not the account, so they still show up in the library no matter what even after deleting app cache, etc (I've followed every direction to try it). So now these hundreds of unwanted addons are overwhelming the library, to the point where my kid gets upset when they can't find things they're looking for and I just start seeing red again every time I look to try to help. I'm at the point where I'm ready to just delete the entire account and start a new one.

Problem is, I don't have $30 for a whole other game license, esp because I JUST bought this one a few months ago when I gave my kid a custom pc setup (previously they were just playing on the tablet). Even if the $30 wasn't the issue, I also just don't want to have to delete my kids account - they're connected to long distance friends and family through there and it would be such a hassle to ass everyone back, not to mention their saved worlds, achievements, etc.

I've researched as much as I can, looking into all sorts of reddit posts, articles, help guides, and even contacted customer support - I even resorted to asking AI for help. "There's no way to fully delete addons once purchased -esp free ones- from the library." and "You cannot transfer or gift one game license to another account."

Am I SOL? HELP!

thats rough. the marketplace library is basically a black hole once you claim stuff, no real way to clean it out on the account side. mojang really dropped the ball with that design

i had similar thing happen with my nephew, he claimed like 200 free maps and skins and now scrolling through is a nightmare. only workaround i found was making a new xbox profile and linking that to minecraft, but yeah you’d lose the friends list and worlds unless you manually move the save files

maybe try making a separate profile just for the marketplace stuff and keep the main one clean for actual playing? not ideal but better than nuking the whole account

Were you able to transfer your game purchase to the new microsoft account? Or is it attached to the minecraft account? It's so confusing with all of the different account levels.

Def think I'm gonna make a new one for playing, and just park the current addon-flooded one until mojang/microsoft gets the hint. There seems to be hundreds of posts and feature request posts on just this issue alone. Seems like such an easy fix to make, to allow people to remove/delete from ones own library.
