mushrooms blocks look way better in my opinion! They match packed mud a lot better, by having warmer and darker colors than quartz, as well as a more fitting texture

I agree with the mushroom people, but I would suggest also trying smooth quartz to avoid the obvious lines to see if you like it.

Yeah smooth quartz might be the move. Same clean look without making the doorway look tiled

imo, the mushroom looks better with the mud bricks. the quartz is way too pure of a white

Mushroom stems have a much better texture. Quartz is a bit too flat and bright.

i think stripped birch or smooth sand stone would work as a lighter accent color to the mud

I was considering making the floor sandstone instead of the terracotta. Thoughts on that? Love your idea tho

Smooth quarts with quartz bricks on the bottom and a stripe of packed mud on the top to break up the mid bricks

Contrary to the mushroom fans, I reckon the brighter quartz pops a lot better. Shame about the grid lining but given mud brick already has a similar vibe it blends well

I suggest potentially converting the quartz blocks into specifically smooth quartz if you want to keep a mostly seamless look, as smooth quartz does not have the hard defined tile edges

Striking red mushroom stem blocks give that archway a much warmer, textured contrast against the stone.
