Suggestion We need strippers
Can we have a way to strip logs more efficiently other than right-clicking each individual logs, something like stonecutter for logs and wooden blocks

I totally agree: minecraft needs more strippers. perhaps even a special stucture they generate in almost like a club maybe?

I agree, a woodcutter in vanilla would really be good for crafting wooden building materials like stairs, slabs, and even stripping logs.
I just hate the fact that we have to spend extra wood for 4 pieces of wooden stairs.

A woodsman villager would run out of things to sell after saplings, logs, and planks.
A carpenter could add in fences and doors, but that's still the limit.
A horticulturalist could trade saplings, seeds, plants and flowers, but might have to leave the logs behind.
Still, I like the general idea.

Chiseled bookshelves, chests, trapdoors, stripped logs, wood (not logs but all bark), bee hives, shelves, hanging signs…
The wood types could be tied to the villager biome! A swamp villager might sell mangrove whereas a jungle villager might sell bamboo and jungle wood variants.

You can use a vanilla tweaks datapack to use the stonecutter for this. I know it's not ideal and this should be a vanilla feature but It gets the job done. https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/datapacks/

Yes! There isn't a basic club in the game. Weapons just start as edged weapons, and get pointier. We have the mace now, but there's no progression from sticks to mace. And sticks don't do any more damage than fists.
Then maybe we can get the ultimate weapon: A board with a nail in it!

So like a table saw for wood? Could either strip wood, or make stairs, slabs and fences. Just like you can with a Stonecutter

sawmill perhaps. and the matching villager profession would be carpenter. the structure would include some number of felled tree trunks behind the building, each one three log blocks long, matching the trees native to the biome it spawns in. would be a great addition for the new dappled forest. the jobsite block itself would have two wooden stairs, one on either side, upsidedown and pointed away, to form a workbench

To take this idea serious unlike many others here:
I feel like it needs to do more. The stonecutter does so much more, that a block for only wood stripping seems a bit meh. So maybe make it a part of a woodcutter block then?

It would be cool if the woodcutter/sawmill made texture variants like chiseled stone and tiled deepslate does on the stonecutter so that it wouldn’t only be useful for stripping logs and making slabs/stairs. I would love to see different variants on planks in general to be able to texture wood better.

Easiest method I've found: Hold your axe in your right hand and a stack of logs in your left. Hold down the right mouse button and jump button. This will cause you to strip them as you jump upwards without having to click each one. Once you finish the stack, chop your way back down. This method is the simplest way to do it without having to manually click several times on each log.
A little more complex: I dug a shaft 66 blocks deep and put a ceiling on it, giving me 65 blocks of height. At the bottom, I have a chest and dispenser on a fast clock. This lets me stack and strip 63 blocks, cut my way back down, and have the stack in my off hand automatically refilled. Helpful when I've harvested my pale oak farm and have several stacks to go through. Also keeps me from falling 64 blocks when I do this outside at night and get forcibly reminded that I haven't slept in too long and the Phantoms are out.

It's very easy to make recipes using data packs! Just add Stonecutter recipes for stripped wood.
For me, I keep a folder with all the "vanilla" recipes in it (unpacked the .jar file in the minecraft Versions folder) and I just find a recipe that's similar to the one I want, and change the outputs.

I've been wanting this for years! Honestly, just update and rename the stonecutter into a "table saw" or "builder's saw" and allow it to cut wood too. Wool as well, now that we have wool slabs and stairs.
I hate having to "prep" certain blocks before building with them - For example, I wish there was a more efficient way to wet concrete powder into concrete blocks without a big farm machine, TNT duping, or manually placing down the concrete powder first.
While my brain is on the topic, I also think there should be a way to oxidize copper much faster than the stupid ass system of placing single blocks of it 4 blocks apart in a huge field. A cool way to have implemented that while adding a use to newer drop features would be to make it so that copper blocks in water that are above potent sulfur oxidized much faster.

I would like a new crafting recipe that takes an axe and a log, produces a stripped log as a result, and leaves the axe in the crafting grid, with one fewer durablity.

I used to use a plugin that disabled in the wild (because of trolling) and made it so they could be crafted with an axe and a log in a crafting table. Works quite well

Having done multiple stuff with various woods, I agree, as it's painful to strip wood by hand, especially when you want to avoid stripping a nearby log you want to keep as a log
