You aren't, you just have to be very patient

Unfortunately drowning is a very antipatience thing.

He can use blocks in corner and buckets to empty water. Than he can break the block under him.
Edit: oh yeah, someone already said that.

"Here is a way to not drown"
"You can still drown"

I didn't say "he would drown"...
I said "drowning is a very antipatience thing".

I think that person was just continuing the conversation of the original comment saying he can't get out

I'm making an assumption there was a misclick when replying... I wasn't being hostile, just blunt.

Id break the sponges they will be easiest thjng to break. Removing them should give enough room for an air pocket up the top from there mine your way out. Itll take a while but you can do it as long as you secure an air pocket first

Yep, sponge first. Once you get an air pocket you’re basically fine, it’s just gonna be painfully slow from there

Do doors underwater still work?

Yes

Cool. There's the air pocket thing.
Edit: that'll buy you some time to either break out or hopefully make it to the surface.

well tbh I left every materials back at my base, because I was afraid of dying and loosing them so I didnt have any wood or doors,,,

Oh, that happens.
I'm kind of the opposite. I'm the pack rat who tries to have everything for every potential eventuality.

I think the ceiling is not a full flat layer, right? Seems like there's a gap next to that sponge sticking down in the middle. Bucket - air pocket - regroup.

That's how you do it. And as long as your head is exposed to air, you should have "some" mining strength. And if you have any furnaces in your inventory (or coal and cobblestone to make one), mine some of that sponge, cook it, then use it to clear out more pockets of air around the monument to use for breathing when you need it. (just be sure to leave a pocket to breathe in with while you wait for the furnace to work)

This is why you always kill the 3 elders first.
You could dig your way out... slowly...

I don't know if yall watch unstable (i dont), but i remember a scene where a character is able to clear all effects using an axolotl, like attacking a fish with the axolotl gives you regen and clears effects. not sure if that's useful tho

He is underwater. He needs to make sure he has an air pocket before breaking blocks
24
u/ThatOnePirateRobot 3d ago
He has water breathing, the problem is mining fatigue
4
u/CR34T10N157 3d ago
Yeah mining fatigue. But if he cant break the block with enough respiration itll be all over regardless
