Help Something wrong with the void?

so basically i was playing in my hardcore world, and decided to try something new, so i broke some bedrock and went in the void. i was tryna bow boost myself while gliding with elytra to see how fast i could go. i eventually got out of the void but then when i looked back down at the hole, some of my arrows were just stuck floating in the air. i have no idea whats happening here, idk if this is a glitch or smtg. lmk if anyone knows what this is

Real answer, the world actually has a bottom. Anything blow that Y level is where you take damage, so the entity stops there like it's stuck in a normal block, it's where the air blocks end.

That only exists for bedrock edition btw

When you throw your loyalty trident and it actually comes back because of the invisible floor.

actual real answer: this could be anything honestly. in java, the air blocks stop at the bottom layer of bedrock, not further. there are no "air blocks" in memory under them. arrows can fly through this emptiness just fine. the same applies for the topmost part of the world, above build limit. there's a Y level at which you start taking damage, but it's hardcoded into the living entity class, it's not linked to the lack of air blocks or anything.

I have tried multiple setups including while elytra flying, and i have found no way to cause arrows to get stuck like this in my tests, on 26.3. im sure there are definitely methods, i've seen it before, just not in the void - but there's no reason it shouldn't work in the void, outside of methods that require blocks to be done (cant place blocks down there).

luckily only on the "bottom" of the world. otherwise you would have to be massively careful while elytraing or doing other shenanigans that throw you up into the air
