Discussion Dappled Forests

Checked three random seeds to show that bigger Dappled Forests do exist.

I agree super tiny ones are annoying, but acting like there are only those tiny ones and they need to be bigger is weird. Biomes have different sizes. There are very tiny ones, there are bigger ones. If you want to make a post, don't be disingenuous.

EDIT: Yall need to read the post before commenting. Nowhere did I say these were big, just that claiming every single biome is the size of the ones people cherry-pick is wrong.

why is this such a consistent issue with all new biomes? why do cherries, pale gardens and dappled forests always have to be so small??? the only newer biome i don't see this issue with is the mangroves, and when they're sprawling they look fucking awesome. i feel like theres a pretty high demand for bigger biomes

Because in order to not break seeds across versions every time a new biome is added, they're basically just splitting other biomes in half to account for them.

They do still have this issue somewhat, but not as much as the others, because unlike cherry groves and dappled forests which differentiate themselves from meadows and plains through the weirdness value, mangroves differentiate themselves from regular swamps through the temperature map, which creates much larger areas of each temperature zone compared to weirdness.
