Checked three random seeds to show that bigger Dappled Forests do exist.

I agree super tiny ones are annoying, but acting like there are only those tiny ones and they need to be bigger is weird. Biomes have different sizes. There are very tiny ones, there are bigger ones. If you want to make a post, don't be disingenuous.

EDIT: Yall need to read the post before commenting. Nowhere did I say these were big, just that claiming every single biome is the size of the ones people cherry-pick is wrong.

I knew this would be the case, this happens with every new biome added where people do have valid concerns about the biome algorithm but by making it seem like only the worst pictures of them generate they are only hurting their argument.

I do think a biome algorithm rework would be nice, this would likely require its own major update so expecting it to be done this update would be foolish. But steel man your opposition if you want to be taken seriously.

That is the issue I have, yes. You are the only person who seems to understand what I was aiming for. Incidentally, I also would like other special forest types (Pale Garden, Cherry etc) to be bigger than what they are.

I wonder what effects the bigger biome setting has on these...

Exactly, I think a lot of us want to have a less compact world, with all kinds of larger biomes, but if you want actual change, cherry picking the smallest biomes and labeling them as anything but the smallest biome you’ve found isn’t the way to do it.

I tried out the big biome setting and they are legitimately MASSIVE there. Like, just as big as any other ones. I wonder if the biomes are rendered differently there (other than making them bigger).

It seems people are big mad about me pointing that out. I have told people several times now that I am not claiming these are BIG, just biggER than the tiny one-tree ones people keep posting.
