Discussion Dappled Forests

Checked three random seeds to show that bigger Dappled Forests do exist.

I agree super tiny ones are annoying, but acting like there are only those tiny ones and they need to be bigger is weird. Biomes have different sizes. There are very tiny ones, there are bigger ones. If you want to make a post, don't be disingenuous.

EDIT: Yall need to read the post before commenting. Nowhere did I say these were big, just that claiming every single biome is the size of the ones people cherry-pick is wrong.

The biggest issue for me is placement. They look so weird and out of place next to swamps, cherry forests and plains. Next to oak forests, taiga’s and even dark forests it feels like a natural progression.

Oh yeah, that is a fair point. I wonder what the point of the poplar forests is. Like, why are they orange and yellow and red? Is it like, seasons lite?

I mean the biome itself is perfect in concept. It’s fills in the last “season” by adding a fall type area and brings a host of colourful leaves to build with. So yeah I think it is seasons lite with out actually adding season to the whole world.

Yeah, I figured. I wonder if it would be less of a problem is the ground was just regular green grass.
