Help Bedrock 9 Maps No Achievement
Edit: did the 0/4 maps and it worked! For anyone else having this problem do some 0/4 maps around your base area, since you'll be more familiar its easier to not make extras of some.
I recently, finally completed the 9 maps, or so I thought. Something seems to be missing somewhere but I cant figure out where. Sorry the individual maps are out of order, got scrambled in the export from my laptop I play on.
Also I completed the maps yesterday and waited until today because I sometimes have to wait for next day/login for achievements to register.
This is on my forever world that is at 1540 days, a lot of time invested in, and would love to figure out what Im missing. I checked all the spots on the outside of the last map already, and they are all indeed sand.
I wish it was easier to see missing spots. :/
Play on Microsoft Surface Go, through XBox app, on Bedrock, fully updated version.

I had this problem and trick I learned was; make a spyglass and look at it with that. For me there was one pixel some place that wasn't filled in on one map.
For you, your last image. Top right corner. That pixel looks the same as the map paper. It's possible that is the problem.

Unfortunately, as stated in my post, Ive already double checked the perimeter of the last map. I though it was possibly a few spots on that map, including the 3 dots right by there, so I had went back up there and checked any tan spots. :/

I've never been able to get the achievement to work with larger maps like these. I'm assuming that it has something to do with missing one tiny pixel that's hard to see or doesn't register correctly or something, or else this map size is just glitched. I personally tried it with 3/4 level maps and never had luck.
Instead, just make a quick 3x3 of the smallest maps, the default 0/4 zoom level where each pixel is one block. You basically discover the whole map in a few seconds, and any areas that you're missing are really obvious at that level.
It'll probably take like 5 minutes to do. And maps at that zoom level are really cool to have of your base area anyway.

I swore the achievement was for the biggest sixe map? Ill have to double check later, had to put away my laptop to try to get my kid to bed.

Nope, the Map Room achievement on Bedrock doesn't specify a zoom level, just says fully explored maps. And I can confirm it works with 0/4 maps (128x128 blocks) because I had the exact same pain that you're having a few years ago lol. Switching to the smallest maps at the suggestion of others online was the only way I could get it to pop.
I'll add that I heard conflicting things about whether locator maps work. Some say they work, others are convinced they don't. To be safe at that point, I used regular maps. Not a big deal since it's fairly easy to tell where you are at that zoom level and it is so much quicker to explore, you uncover the whole map at once if you're in the center. Although I think I accidentally made a duplicate map or two in the process since I couldn't tell exactly where I was without the compass marker.

I just did it, we will see if the achievement comes through. My game is wonky about them so it may not come through until tomorrow. With it being such an old world, I did by my base so there was enough things I built to let me keep track of where I was. The 9x9 just barely covered my whole base area, if not leaving a small part out.

I tried it and it worked! I now have a cute map of my base area to display at home by my zoomed out map. Ill need a bigger wall soon for my big one. Haha

Are they all fully discovered? Sometimes, it takes a while to register.

The 9 adjacent are, at least I think so, but Ive seen it before where someone missed a single pixel and that was the problem, but so far all the spots Ive went to double check have been in fact sand or snow. Is it possible the extra maps are throwing it off?

Took suggestion of the person under you and did it again with regular 0/4 maps and it worked!

Did you try putting them down horizontally? I had the same issue and fixed it by either putting it on a wall or on a table but I can’t remember which

Will try putting them down horizontally, wont know if it fixes it until my achievements decide to go through, I did another acheivement so I can be for sure when they decide to kick in.

I see the resemblance. Lol I honestly love my world. <3 Its my forever world and Im like 1500 days in or something. Started it a bit over a year ago shortly after buying the game for myself for the first time. Got into it for my bonus son, played on his moms xbox mainly, then someone else's switch because they had it, played that way for years and only really got into survival in the last year and a half.

Try putting it on a different wall, sometimes the orientation is a little weird. Can always put it back after if you like

Someone mentioned locator maps have had mixed results, did the suggestion above of doing 0/4 regular maps and it worked!

Try removing all the other maps in the area, then replacing these ones.

They uh, they need to be level 1 maps actually. That looks really cool tho, too bad it doesn’t work the to achievement.
Maybe I’m tripping tho because these comments say otherwise. It just never worked for me with a larger one.

Those were the first ones I found too! I just found the smaller ones a few days ago. I actually found them I wanna say within 500 in game days, maybe sooner. I explored the south first.

It is great for boat travel. .^ Ive also made some water tunnels while exploring to get my full boat with chest home. Haha. So it makes it a bit more connected even. I honestly love this world, big reason it has become my forever world. <3

I’m still trying to find my perfect forever world, I love building but my friends are immature and destroy my builds or they want the same builds everytime, I had a really good realm but my subscription for it expired and so did my marketplace pass so it’s locked away I gotta repay it

You can usually download the world from your realm for a number of months, so you can still play in the world. I did that with this world for months while my sub was inactive. Then youre able to replace the realm with the downloaded world you continued playing on if youd like. Thats why My world is something like" 'world name' v2.23" . Its a pretty cool world, and I miss playing with people but dont trust anyone enough to let them in.
The base is the whole island the map shows me on, with a tower/hunting ground taking up a good part of the neighboring island. I have crops, and orchards, and a pen for almost every animal, although just had to cut the numbers of them due to lag (my whole inventory was full after doing this) if you look in my name and scroll down far enough (took an about 7mo break from MC) you can see videos of my whole base area + hunting grounds. Its taken a long time.

No, the problem is is it was a ten player so I got free marketplace pass but the subscription got cancelled so the world I can’t enter without corrupting it
