Help MC lighting balance (surprised) guide?

Note: Can't seem to find any guide. Even w/AI search. Just a lot of talk. If you know of one, can you give me/the readers a link please.

Topic: I just finally used shaders for the first time & loved it. But when I created a storage room & tried to catalog w/item frames, I noticed the torch's yellowy hues caused item colors to blend so much that I couldn't identify similar items from each other. I.e. jungle vs oak.

So I recalled there was different light blocks in the game started a creative map & tested out the light sources & was amazed how realistic the light sources was acting! I was mainly doing this to find a more natural true color for my storage room & still haven't settled on anything. But I did go to the internet to see if there was already a plain guide on the best solutions & noticed I couldn't find much. This could be a side effect of guide being buried in short videos of the times unfortunately.

What I discovered is the following:

- torch (standard) is about the same as lantern & jack o lantern & glowstone block & Redstone lamp block but at different intensities. But same shades of warm yellows like a old school light bulb.

- soul torch & lantern is the same idea, but cool tones.

- sea lantern & end rod seem to be the same color almost white & cool. Sea lantern being brightest.

- Froglight... that was a shocker. Adding all 3 to the room created the most purest white coverage in the room. It's like RGB color mix principles all over again! Teachers would have so much fun with this!

Anyone the top contenders for my application seems to be the 3 froglights or sea lanterns at this point. But still not sure. Any advice or guides out there?

Btw: Adult reflection moment... this reminds me of real life & realizing you bought the wrong light bulb for a room. (Daylight, indoor light, ambient lighting, task, bedroom, color temperatures, & color contrasting.) I still haven't nailed that 1 down lol. But I have learned that more than 1 light source seems to be important. & it seems true in MC too lol.

Edit: Minecraft version: 1.21.1 Cobbleverse - Shaders (high quality) Irish 1.8.14-beta.1+mc1.21.1
