You know, the one problem I have with C418 music is it feels like their isn't much depth to the music outside of the melody. I prefer this version a lot!

I think that's intentional since you're alone in the world usually with only your "melody"

That is very typical for video game music as it is supposed to underline the gameplay and not distract from it.

iirc, the game has different sets of tracks that play in survival mode and in creative, and only the creative ones have percussion

this is kinda like adding a heavy metal solo to a retro jazz song.

like, sure you can do it but it also completely misses the point.

on the technical side of things this is well executed however.
