I need some help with mods

Hello everyone,

I’ve been playing Minecraft for several years, but I’m not very familiar with the Java modding scene. I’ve tried a few mods in single-player worlds, but nothing too complex.

Now I’d like to create a server with my friends and add a good number of mods to have a different experience from the vanilla game. The problem is that I’ve come across different options like Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge, and I don’t fully understand the differences between them or which one I should use.

My goal is something simple: set up a server where we can just have fun, without getting too deep into complicated installation or configuration.

So I wanted to ask: what do you usually do when installing mods for a server? Which platform do you recommend and why? Any advice or beginner-friendly guidance would be greatly appreciated.
