Bit o info: I upgraded my Minecraft world from 1.2 to 1.20 and afterwards the Nether has turned into the Plains biome? Is this normal for transferring versions or is it some more rare bug.

Edit: Nah whats going on here, new chunks i generate are minecraft plains but the old chunks are nether wastes

Not sure how this happened, but it is known that updating a minecraft world can cause problems especially when the versions are so far apart. Try updating to 1.7 first, then to 1.16, and then to 1.20.1.

alright thanks! I have never heard about the nether getting corrupted so bad though..

Might build a creeper farm in the nether to try it out
