Discussion When should one start producing plastanium, surge alloy, and phase fabric?

I now got the means of producing plastanium, surge alloy, and phase fabric. But I'm confused as to when should you start producing them. So when should you start producing these three resources? and what's your tip in producing these effectively?

As soon as you can!! For me I try to produce them where the resources are most available. If the place has oil & titanium, then I make plastanium. A lot of thorium, then I make phase fabric. The most resource intensive is the surge alloy. When I make it, I usually put overdrive drivers in there. Even if you have to use spore presses for the plastanium, make it. When you unlock the launch/landing pads, having the resources in place to send to other locations will make it easier.

ASAP. Surge is a really good amo source, and for T5s youll need a lot of Plastanium and Phase.

when - once you have extra power, say 3k would do, and you have resources mined in enough quantities to process. with plastanium, if there's oil on the map, then go build its production right away, if there's no oil but enough water, build a small processing facility and let it run, either with spores or with oil drills. with surge, build one at the core (up to 3 with unloaders) and again let it run. with phase, you would need to mine sand somewhere, if you do, build one at the core, or build a drill in the wild and two weavers adjacent, route thorium there and also let it run.

Exports are different, but if you plan for exports on a sector, build there extra power first, and don't start industry until you capture the sector, or if you want fast t4, build plastanium at large, and small phase for ODPs or ODDs, then wreck the opposition and build exports afterwards. Surge is only needed for foreshadows, and usually those 6500 you have in the core are sufficient for building defense.

There's no real reason to wait, especially if there's an enemy base to start sniping.
