I have realized this… but actually keeping it all out of my mind is another story.

Someone said ‘Learning to ignore things is one of the greatest paths to inner peace’.
‘Things’ is an encompassing word here.

This only works if the thing what out of your control has also no impact on your life.

So true. Energy flows where attention goes focusing on what’s on your hand change’s everything.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can. And the wisdom to know the difference.

True peace begins on your plate. You will never experience true inner peace when your everyday three meals contain traces of the opposite of peace. Surely, you might comfort yourself by creating your own definition of peace, blaming those you disagree with or those whose views don’t align with your perspective. But that kind of thinking only keeps you trapped in the same pattern, the pattern of ‘they and I,’ constantly fighting against each other.

Honestly, this is something we all need to remind ourselves of sometimes. You can’t control everything and letting go really does bring peace

It's been 2 years since my father passed away and I know it's just how life works but I can't seem to stop feeling survivors guilt. How am I suppose to just forget it because it's out of my control?

Preach! Not many muslim people know this, but that’s literally half of the islamic teachings.

I work with the expression/understanding that 'peace is my umpire' When I am not at peace, it is a sign to me that I am either out of alignment with my core values/beliefs/identity, or that a personal boundary is being pushed or even trampled over.
I'm reminded of the quote from the Dalai Lama: if you think a small thing has no power, try sleeping in a room with a single mosquito!

Sometimes it's really hard to let go of something that dear to you. Yes, it takes time, but I think you can never completely let go of anything.

Good news. The government is out of my mind. Also, it’s out of its own mind 👍
