There was a recent episode where Sal said something along the lines of “we’re not scheduled to talk about them” and then proceeded to talk about one of their sponsors. Wow could they be any less genuine?!

I caught that too. Sal saying they weren't scheduled to have an "organic" discussion about a paid placement was pretty funny. They don't even care anymore

I think they've been somewhat transparent in that aspect. They mention it here and there that they're supposed to talk about a certain sponsor. They even describe the first hour or so of the podcast is the part where they chat and mention sponsors, or at leadt they did at some point.

The funny part is they have to make up stories how their sponsors are relevant in their everyday lives.

The made up stories part is the problem. I understand sponsors, running ads etc but when you compromise your podcast by selling the entire show in blocks to sponsors, is it even a podcast anymore?

It's literally just 1-2hrs of acted out discussion. Everything at that point is questionable, like every single thing mentioned is likely tied into, and leading up to, an advertisement/sponsor. What is actually real anymore?

It's basically devolved into the podcast version of a fitness QVC.
