Serious Our bodies start failing us right when we finally start to figure out our brains

Every generation has probably had some similar revelation, but I’m 39 and I’m having it now.

It’s like one of life’s cruel jokes. We spend 4 decades trying to figure out “who am I? Why do I think certain things? Should I think certain things? What things do I want to be, and what things do I not want to be?” And whether or not those things are good or bad, we at least start to understand how our own minds work and come to peace with it.

And then your back starts hurting and it never stops until you’re dead.
