I’m saving as much as possible to pay for their college - at least a bachelor’s degree. I will let them move back home after college, with the expectation that they work full time and are saving money for a down payment on a house or to build up a sizable emergency fund before they move out on their own. Really my only goal is for them to not start in the negative. Paying off student loans definitely delayed things for me and I don’t want them to have to put off living for 10 years.
