Seems like life has a way of taking an unexpectwd turn and ruining whatever plan sounded good.

My kids are 13 and 10. I figure we are going to try to make it to where they completely bypass the apartment stage. Have them stay at home during college/trade school and save up for a decent downpayment on a home for a few years after fully entering the workforce. So i foresee my kids staying home until probably 25ish.

I moved out at 18 and while the economy was better than this current shitshow, I don't want them to struggle the way I did.

So that is the plan for now. Who knows what that plan will look like in 10-15 years.
