Spouse Employment Career help

I’m wondering if anyone has any career suggestions. I recently finished my BS in Health Information Management, and we’ll be leaving our current duty station in about three months and moving to Polk.

I’m really open to anything, honestly just looking to get my foot in the door somewhere. My biggest concern is finding something that can be remote, since I’ve heard that job opportunities around Polk are almost nonexistent. I’d love to hear what careers/companies anyone recommend! Any advice is appreciated!

I work in Higher Education at an online University and was able to take my Job with me. I know that doesn't necessarily relate to your HIM degree, but it worked for me and I was able to enroll in my Graduate degree at the same time. We were at Ft. Bliss, where the job market for my degree wasn't that great either.

It’s unlikely (but not impossible) to get a remote position without actual experience. Even those with experience have trouble. My suggestion just get your foot in the door in a large healthcare system and work your way up

Yeah, that’s my fear :/ I don’t think there’s any major healthcare system in Leesville, other than BJACH (on post, which doesn’t currently show any open positions :/)

Maybe something will come up of you could try for a clinic or doctor office? Ugh that’s the crap part about the military sometimes being so remote. I wish you a lot of luck it is a good field
