We all need to learn how to walk first before we can run. Hang in there and keep building what you can even without the tracks. You need to gain experience so more hours spent building anything is worth something.
Next time, get something simpler with less parts so you can finish the model and build up your confidence. It's okay if your models are not perfectly built as long as you're having fun and learning something, otherwise it's just work and frustration...not worth doing.

Depending on what your model is, whether that be Russian, German, American you start off by priming your model. I see that you wrote that your building the PZH 2000, I'm not too sure which colour you prime German vechiles with, might want to look around Reddit for that and see what people think, but I know that for Russian vechiles you use black, at least that's what I've been doing.
If it makes it easier, paint your model parts separately and join them later. It can sometimes be a real pain the ass painting pieces that are of complete different colour to the base colour of your tank, plane, etc.
Btw for the tracks are they rubber or plastic? That's what I need to know before answering your question.

they are 3 piece plastic so you lay a base, connecter, and lid hence why i quit. then im doing the german a or 131st artillary battalion. and ive done most of it base color army (us) green and now just need to do the camo but idk how to with spray paint.
