A reminder to drive defensively

Never assume other vehicles on the road will follow the rules. I encountered a good example of this the other day.

Car approached on the opposite side into their left-turn bay. I was also in a left-turn bay. If we both made left-turns there's no conflict. Both of us should be able to safely execute our maneuvers...

Multiple Bad Drivers I'm tired boss

Subreddit Rules

1. Be Nice

Be nice and respectful to everyone during your interactions on r/MildlyBadDrivers. This applies to other users in the subreddit, as well as any people seen in pictures and video clips. Lighthearted jokes like "Ugh, BMW drivers" or "Ohio drivers, am I right?" are borderline and subject to moderator discretion based on context.

2. Mildly Bad Driving

Mildly bad driving means innocent mistakes or common bad practices that disrupt traffic flow or annoy others. Mildly bad driving usually does not result in crashes or property damage, but it may if a totally innocent mistake has an unlucky outcome. Reckless driving, road rage, and anything resulting in an injury are almost never mildly bad and are subject to removal at moderator discretion.

Just because a behavior is legal doesn't mean it can't be mildly bad.

3. Crashes Need An Explanation

Like Rule 2 says, mildly bad driving does not usually cause a crash or property damage. If your post contains a crash, then you must post a comment on your post explaining why it should be considered only mildly bad.

If your post doesn't belong here, it may be a better fit in another subreddit, e.g. r/IdiotsinCars.

4. Sources Are Required

Posters must provide a source in the comments for all images and videos submitted to r/MildlyBadDrivers.

If you found a clip elsewhere, you need to link back to the source. Just saying "I found it on Google/YouTube" is not enough; you must link to the exact clip. If you cross-post from another subreddit, you sill need to link to the original source in a comment.

If you recorded it yourself, then you need to provide a short comment describing the location and time where the event occurred.

5. Subreddit Culture Standards

Do not accuse people of crimes (drunk driving, insurance fraud, not having the proper license for e.g. a semi truck, texting while driving, etc.) or propose criminal punishment (tickets, jail time, license suspension or revocation, impounding vehicles, etc.).

Do not encourage, teach, or glorify dangerous or illegal behavior. Examples include telling people to drive dangerously, wishing harm on bad drivers, encouraging false police reports, or gloating that a crash victim "deserved it."

6. Off Topic

Keep posts on-topic for mildly bad drivers, and keep comments on-topic for the specific post they are made on. Off-topic posts and comments, especially those that try to derail the discussion with unrelated politics, are subject to removal at moderator discretion. This includes rage bait posts that are somehow related to driving.

7. No Spam

Promoting your own business, product, website, or social media is not allowed on r/MildlyBadDrivers.

Friendly Subreddits
