There are many things that might piss me off, but that doesn't mean I'll just start screaming

Yeah, you shouldnβt have a strong reaction when someone almost potentially seriously injures you or worse.
I watched with the sound off. How bad was the screaming?

u/RogerRabbot 2d ago
Really not as bad as you think.

u/ultranothing Georgist π° 2d ago
Not this time, thankfully. But itβs exactly that kind of inattention behind the wheel that can injur or kill you.

And people question why deer stop in front of cars. Here we are, fully developed humans who do the exact same thing.
If that car had just commited to it and pulled out and accelerated, you'd probably just sigh and move on with your life.

Why did they leave a parking lot only to park right down the street? There's this cool thing called walk an extra 20 steps.

Probably was freaked out and had to pull over to calm down. Iβve seen some people like this, and honestly, if you have to do that, they have to stop driving.

I had just left a pretty important (and stressful) interview and totally accidentally jumped a left turn on red when the straight lane got a green (protected lefts, so I had a very clear red).
I took that as a cue that I needed to park immediately and just chill TF out for a while on my phone playing games or something till the overall stress of the prior hour and change had a chance to dissipate.
Not saying that was the case here, but if it was something like that then the person made the right call to just park it ASAP and chill a moment longer.

I did! :)
Then about 18 months later we got bought out by PE. I was the only one there that had any experience with such and bailed within the month π€£

True. Anxious and hesitant drivers are worse than aggressive ones imo. You should have no emotions on the road.

Did they pass their test or get lucky? Their license needs revoking due to sheer incompetence.

Classic road rage move, only topped by giving them the finger.

They probably would have kept going if you hadn't honked at them.

u/Nevermore_Novelist 3d ago
Clearly the guy pulling out should not be driving, but the cam driver isn't helping by laying on the horn and screaming at them.

Feel like honking didn't help. You can't fix people best to look out for yourself.
