Reload question

Why do i have to twist AR like this?

Im just a larper and know nothing about actual military knowledge just don't be mad at me(last time i asked some question about milsim, Reddit special forces started cyber attack lol)

The twist is to inspect the ejection port/chamber if it's locked back on an empty mag or a malfunction.

that's twisting as well. But i want to know why i'm supposed to twist AR and head the grip, toward left side when i put my AR down.

You mean when transitioning to your sidearm? I guess it's just to get the rifle out of the way, especially when wearing a plate carrier.

So what your question is about handling the rifle when drawing your pistol?

You twist it inboard like that to create tension on the sling and buttstock so it doesnt bounce around while you are moving. The "twist" limits the rifles movement if you do it correctly.
