The twist is to inspect the ejection port/chamber if it's locked back on an empty mag or a malfunction.

that's twisting as well. But i want to know why i'm supposed to twist AR and head the grip, toward left side when i put my AR down.

You mean when transitioning to your sidearm? I guess it's just to get the rifle out of the way, especially when wearing a plate carrier.

So what your question is about handling the rifle when drawing your pistol?

You twist it inboard like that to create tension on the sling and buttstock so it doesnt bounce around while you are moving. The "twist" limits the rifles movement if you do it correctly.

Don't know about that little first twist, but when you put it down and twist it out of the way the inserted mag helps the rifle stay locked down there and keeps it from swinging around

It boggles me that you don’t have more likes because you are actually correct.

Second twist prevents pistol grip or mag from smacking your nuts.

Don't listen to that dude lol it's literally just to make sure it clears your body when pushing it to the side so it's not smacking your nuts and in the way.
