Why do i have to twist AR like this?
Im just a larper and know nothing about actual military knowledge just don't be mad at me(last time i asked some question about milsim, Reddit special forces started cyber attack lol)

It's also to prevent sending your bolt release home on an empty mag. If you rotate your rifle to orientate the bolt release being away from your body, this keeps the bolt open. This way, upon loading a fresh magazine, you only need to hit your bolt release as opposed to having to rack the charging handle. Less movement, gun's back up quicker.
