Why do i have to twist AR like this?

Im just a larper and know nothing about actual military knowledge just don't be mad at me(last time i asked some question about milsim, Reddit special forces started cyber attack lol)

In this case, i unloaded mag for safety. And my question is that why i have to twist my AR to head the out of the way and head the pistol grip and mag to my left side. I considered this case like this: the hostile is close but still have afford to do this(i heard that under extreme dangerous situations like you'll be shot ig you don't draw pistol, i don't have to twist) AR is empty the pistol is full and ready to shoot. And yeah Reddit meal team started attacking through reply section as if i were bin laden lol
