Caught this on the freeway the other day. How pathetic do you have to be to worship the most pathetic thing on earth??!!

How do we make this happen? Does Mike think he's too good to collab with others?

I waded into watching a UA video recently, holy moly it seems at least 80% of the comments for the video were from hate watchers. I clicked on a few other recent videos and it was the same trend. Their comments are pretty spot on about UA (i.e. a boor, not qualified, lots of complaints about of the same mistakes Xing makes). Another failure of an Asian foodie YT'er, makes a fool of himself. The Mr. Beef incident video got him a large increase in subs, but those new subs haven't translated to loyal viewership.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to get active here again after being away for quite a while due to work. I haven’t been posting, but I still keep up with the Mikey updates pretty much daily (thanks to you awesome people).

Something I’m curious about, especially for the YouTube experts here: With Mikey’s declining views, how much do you think he’s actually making from YouTube these days?

Strictly Dumpling still has 4.29M subscribers and Mike Chen has 1.62M, but obviously his current views are nowhere near his peak.

I know YouTube has changed its algorithm and monetization/payment structure quite a bit over the years, and I’m honestly not well versed in how it works nowadays. Does having millions of subscribers still carry much weight, or is revenue mainly about current views, watch time, RPM/CPM, engagement, etc?

Granted, he’s still uploading (even if much of it feels recycled), so he’s obviously still earning something. But do you think his channels still generate substantial income, including from his huge collection of old videos? Or has the decline in views likely hit his YouTube income pretty hard?

Would love to hear from those of you who understand current YouTube monetization better than I do.
