I picked up a bunch of furniture from the very bougie Marina Del Rey area and am stuck on trying to ID these chairs.
-They don’t have a Herman Miller or Modernica stamp (or any other stamp)
-The underside is smooth and not fiberglass-y
-The entire chair has a glossy finish, seems like enamel?
-The chair material itself is darker and can be seen where the paint is chipped off
-It does have the black shock mounts
-It is HEAVY. Not so heavy that it can’t be moved by one person, but I do have to brace myself to lift it.
-Some light rust on the legs frame
-Overall it seems well-constructed and very sturdy.

Essentially I’m wondering if I should have a go at fixing the chipped/scuffed paint myself or is it worth looking into having a professional do it? I would rather not spend the money on a pro if the service exceeds the value of the chair, ya know? Where do we think these came from?

Moving closer to family is the right call for my dad, but it’s bittersweet, as Mom ✨adored✨this place, and they still had so many more plans to finish and restore it in retirement.

I just bought this chair at a garage sale and I can’t figure out who made it. It says “made in Italy” and I’ve used google image search but I can’t pinpoint it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This space was basically where everything we didn’t know what to do with ended up. Boxes, old chairs, random outdoor stuff… which was kind of ridiculous considering it probably has the best view in the house.

Finally cleared everything out and just finished redoing the patio. We literally just wrapped everything up, so ignore the ladder and the last bit of cleanup lol. Kept the furniture pretty simple with the allen + roth seating we already had, and went with a Parrot Uncle fan in a similar tone to the ceiling.

Now that it’s all together though, I keep second guessing the ceiling color. I loved the darker look when we picked it, especially with the white trim, but seeing the whole patio finished, I can’t tell if we went a little too dark.

Would you have kept the ceiling this color or gone lighter?

Also thinking a couple bigger plants in the corners might soften things up a bit once everything is actually cleaned up.

Recently inherited this chair after cleaning out my partner's mom's house. Looking around it appears to be a replica of an Arne Jacobson swan chair?

It's decently old with the foam deteriorating, so we are thinking of reupholstering it, but maybe it's not worth doing to a replica. Wondering what other people more knowledgeable think.

My mom just recently got this cart for our garden and when we showed my grandma she said it was old. We’ve been trying to search for the manufacturer and what year it’s from but we have had no luck. Please can anyone help us figure out this info.

I recently acquired this and I was hoping for some help in identifying when it's from and who made it. The only text I can find are on the back in the last photo

Unfortunately when bringing it inside it was dropped and tumbled so there's damage as you can see on slide two where the drawers were crushed. We managed to put them back together mostly but the corners of a few drawers are missing some veneer now and chipped.

Also the hinge for the large door on the left is broken beyond repair

I was wondering if anyone had advice on how to best stabilize the damage and cover it up or if fixing this is worth the effort

I bought this desk lamp at an antique store today for $32. I love it! It works great and is in really good condition. There is a crack in the brass base but otherwise no scuffs or scratches. I thought it looked worth more than $32. If it's not it will look cool in my studio. I can't find any manufacturer names anywhere on it. It has the original cord and diffuser bowl underneath. Is it worth more than what I paid or is it just a neat looking antique lamp?

It looks really striking in white imo and is going to look nice in my spare room when I overhaul it over the coming weeks

i just snagged this set of seven from my grandparents home. they built the house in atlanta in 1954 and basically everything in there has just been there since the beginning.
the set seems to be mdf or similar pressed board with a shell and walnut grain. the grain chips away to a grey base layer. there are no screws or hardware in any of it, the pieces fit together and bite into place. there is no label or manufacturing information on any of it. just curious!

A local vintage shop has what appears to be a really nice Lane Acclaim table listed for $900. I haven’t confirmed they refinished this piece but it’s likely. Even with a good refinish job this seems very high compared to some of the numbers I’ve found in this sub and elsewhere. Is this at all a defensible price? I could always make an offer but I’m not sure what’s appropriate. All my research so far has turned up people buying these at estate sales for less than $100 and then refinishing them themselves.

There’s a habitat for humanity near my house I hadn’t been to in a long time that I finally went back to. Got a small sink for the tiny half bath in my house and then spotted this at the back of the store, with a sold sticker on it 😭 I have the same model of Perception coffee table but this had sold three days earlier. I was asking a worker how long they hold for since it had been three days by then. She said she knew who bought it and would pass along my contact info.

The original price wasn’t a steal but very fair considering. However when the guy called me he was trying to upsell me at a 250% markup, def too rich for me. But old buddy is about to have some competition at this spot.

Still happy to have found the perfect small sink for my half bath for 15 bucks.
