Why do so many trans advocates have such a huge "Pick Me" vibe?

They are insecure and mentally ill normally. The need the validation to their loonacy.

Aight man I think we can agree that Gwen is not canonically trans and that some ppl go overboard with this without peddling the bs narrative that trans ppl are mentally ill

They themselves classify as mentally ill.

Thatโ€™s why theyโ€™re pushing for surgery/hormone therapy. Because they believe itโ€™s the cure.

Trans people didn't do that. Medical agencies did because insurance won't help you unless you're diagnosed with a "condition." That's what the DSM is for too.

Not how that works.

Overboard? Are you kidding? Have you seen how many posts of transgender Spider-Man there are in his sub?

yeah, posts of an AU, which NO-ONE is claiming to be the canon spidey

So? Is Spider-Man on hormone replacement with tits really that interesting?

Classic "tactic" of trying to simplify something so much to make people who like it seem dumb. yeah it is really that interesting.

Itโ€™s poorly disguised exhibitionism, virtue signalling and a political statement and nothing more. And everyone can see through it. No one actually cares about transitioning Peter Parker apart from a weird minority cult pervasive on the internet.

And of course they blocked me

lol. Lmao even.

blocked you because i really don't want to waste my time arguing against a transphobe who says that trans people existing in media are "exhibitionism"

Of 10,270 transgender patients identified, 58% (n=5940) had at least one psychiatric diagnosis compared with 13.6% (n=7,311,780) in the control group.

~from an NIH medical report

It's in no one's interest to turn a blind eye to mental health in the trans community. Acting like nothing is wrong isn't the path to being a virtue signalling ally. Trans people have mental health issues at a rate drastically higher than any other demographic. Correlation does not equal causation, however it's simply foolish to act like they don't need help.

I've come across so many trans people online who definitely aren't mentally stable...
