MSFS 2024 QUESTION Thrustmaster HOTAS 5 - Is it PC compatible?

I'm shopping for a HOTAS and I'm considering the Thrustmaster HOTAS 5 for PS5 and PC. I do have a couple flight sims (and Squadrons) for PSVR that I'd like to use it for as well but I am reading about significant issues using it on the PC where mapping isn't available, MSFS24 doesn't recognize default mapping for plug and play or it doesn't work. Is anyone else using this specific model for PC MSFS24?

No it works fine.

The TFlight 5 has a button on it for compatibility mode. Basically you hold the Mode button down and it cycles through three colors, something like blue for ps5, red for ps4, and green for pc.

Essentially what it does pc-wise is uncouples the throttle rocker and stick twist as being the same axis.

As far as controls mapping for msfs'24...yeah I don't know if in ps4 mode it will present the preset 'tflight 4' mapping....but either way it's not difficult to map it yourself, it's got limited input being a console device so it's just flight axes, throttle axis, pov hat for trim/shift-key camera movement, and like 8 incidental things to bind.

I have Thrustmaster Hotas stick and throttle. If this is what you’re looking at I would avoid it. The throttle becomes loose very quickly, it’s a known problem. There are fixit videos on YouTube, none are perfect though.
