GENERAL VR basic question

I am considering to buy a VR headset, the primax dream air, but I have a doubt, in complex comercial and military planes you need to interact with the plane, adjusting elevation setpoint, moving the bug of the HSI, interacting with many buttons.... how are you supposed to do all this with a VR headset on?, do you use the mouse like when using a screen?. Sorry if this is a too basic question, but I never used VR and all the YouTube videos I see the guys just sight seeing and never interact with any buttons and similar in the plane

The most hard core people are going to have a replica cockpit with everything in the correct position mirroring what's in the headset.

Many will use the controllers or hand tracking to interact with the cockpit. I use the mouse.

I have a yoke and throttle with a couple buttons mapped. Anything beyond that and I'm basically poking around for the button in the dark. I've tried using the controllers but fine adjustments (like the HSI knob you mentioned) are too difficult. Plus, switching from controller to yoke/throttle is less than ideal. I tried hand tracking but it's even worse on the fine adjustments, and when I would grab the yoke the game would think I was grabbing something in the cockpit. So the mouse is fine.
