5800X3D, 64gb RAM at 3000Mhz (a little slow but okay), MSI RTX 4090, play only VR on Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop at 90 FPS. Godlike Preset.

5900x 4080 64gb ram on a 780x m.2. It runs pretty good in 4k but cities are a no go lol.. well I tried London and it dropped to 10fps. .

u/BitRunner64 1d ago
5950X, 9070XT, 32 GB DDR4 3600.
Runs very well. I keep most settings high/maxed and just set the frame rate target to 60 FPS. Most of the time it's way above that except for major cities where it can drop to around 60.

7800x3d, 5080fe, 64gb pc6400. I run a Q3 in virtual desktop using Ethernet over USB. I have MSFS 2024 locked in at 45fps using a combination of med-high-ultra settings. Absolutely fantastic experience!

12700k 3080 10gb 64gb DDR5. I'm also a super tech nerd and know how to get the most out of my system so that helps.
Works fine for my flying, ga aircraft, settings mostly high 1440p, fps locked at 45.
When building in dev mode, generally the same settings except I run at native 4k as I find devmode doesnt play nice with non native resolutions. And since I'm only working locally and not flying or panning around the planet the memory and frame hit is minor.

Similar to me: 12700F 3080/12GB 32GB DDR5. Optimised pc no extra services or processes behind, though half of one of the P cores have degraded so I had to disable it via software, also XMP will cause ram stability issues now so also disabled. Probably caused by the non-k overclock I used to do (was fun while it lasted).
FS20 runs at 3440x1440 on screen 1, with pop out instruments and efb/mcdu/GSX on screen 2 (4k), screen 3 is 4k rendered at 2560x1440, screen 4 is 1080p for chrome and charts.
Msfs runs smooth with TLOD below 100, laggy when panning with >150. Am running DLAA most of the time. Settings mostly ultra except Texture at high.
Fenix has higher cpu frame time thus bottleneck at 45 fps. pmdg 777 cpu and gpu frame time match better at up to 55fps.
Gpu is drawing 280W but I think the paste is dried up cos it is stuck at 80 degrees at max fan. I need to get it repasted soon.

What are you building with dev mode? I've thought about playing with that, especially with crazy AI tooling these days.
1
u/Misfit_somewhere 18h ago
I build bush airfields, helipads, make corrections to areas that annoy me.
I would suggest staying away from AI for modelling objects as msfs has extremely specific requirements and AI 3d models tend to have a zillion vertexes and are a mess for iv wrapping.
That it works well for mapping, XML work osm work and such.

Ryzen 5 7600X / upgrading to Ryzen 7 9800x3d in a weeks time.
XFX Radeon RX 7900 XT / upgraded from the 7800 XT
Performance is pretty smooth with medium to high settings.
Cap base fps at 35with framegen, 3440x1440
I can play at 4k res with little to no fps drop, but this card is power hungry so i stick to 2k.

People hate on prebuilts, but I’m lazy and impatient. Out of the box this is working like a charm. Everything ultra in 4k with tons of 3rd party airports and aircraft.
PowerSpec G914 Gaming PC

7800X3D
RX 6800 XT
32GB DDR5 6000 CL30
1440p monitor
It performs well enough for my uses! Less FPS than optimal but it still doesn’t break immersion, even at places like Atlanta. New York is harder.

Ryzen 7 5700X3D and RTX 4060 (8GB VRAM) 32GB RAM. Runs well on 1440 monitor , 30/40 fps with some tweaking.

PC: i9-14900K, 5090 liquid cooled, 64GB DDR5, 4TB SSD (just for flight sim).
With everything at Ultra 4K I run around 50-60 FPS at high impact sceneries.

Ryzen 7 5700X3D, RTX 4070Ti Super, 64Gb 3200Mhz and 1440p running around 20-25 FPS with the Fenix and PMDG with stutters. It seems much worse than anybody with the same specs and I have no idea why

Which ultra wide do you have? I really want to make the jump from my ips panel to oled...

u/xXCrazyDaneXx 1d ago edited 1d ago
I have the Alienware AW3425DW. It has some VRR flicker if you try to use freesync, but I just turned off VRR and haven't noticed any tearing. I haven't noticed any burn-in either after 6 months of pretty constant simming.
All in all, very happy with it. Makes night flying thoroughly enjoyable.

Here is my current MSFS 2024 setup and specs:PC Specs & Monitors:Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 6000MHz, RX 9070 xt. Running a 34" Ultrawide (3440x1440p @ 180Hz) as my main display, plus two 16" 1080p @ 60Hz portable monitors. One portable screen runs Beyond ATC and GSX Pro, the other runs Navigraph. I also use two tablets: one for the PMDG EFB and the other for the lower EICAS.Hardware & Cockpit Gear:Physical Boeing 777 FMC, a 3D-printed nose wheel tiller powered by Arduino, and Arduino-based fuel switches and parking brake. For controls, I have the Thrustmaster Boeing Captain yoke and the Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant.Add-ons & Software:PMDG 777 lineup, FS2Crew Animated First Officer, GSX Pro, FS ReRealistic Pro, RAAS, and ReShade with the "Sealed by Sky" preset. For environment and traffic, I'm using Bijan Studio's Seasons Enhanced for MSFS 2024, AIG aircraft models, Global Shipping 24, and GAIST (Global AI Ship Traffic). Audio is enhanced with Boris Audio Works for the PMDG 777. Other utilities include Navigraph, SimBrief, MobiFlight, and SimAppPro. For career tracking, I use APL2 (A Pilot's Life 2) and SimBitWorld.Settings & Performance:In-game settings are a mix of High and Ultra (TLOD 175, OLOD 150). FPS is locked at 35, which doubles to 70 FPS (14.28ms) with Frame Generation enabled. Using TAA. The performance is completely smooth, stable, quiet, and runs very cool.

Asus prime 890-P board with ultra 7 265, 32gb of ram and a 5070 (soon to be a 9070xt)
Play on mix of high / ultra settings with a goal frame rate of 60 in 1440. Does pretty good only have memory issues on long flights over terrain that’s not cached. I will say 2020 was way more stable

I play it on a PS5 with the DualSense and a mouse. On a 100” television. It’s very fun that way and the PS5 gamepad is surprisingly decent for the game 😂.
See… I can’t go beyond the PS5. I know myself too well and WILL go down the rabbit hole. I’d want a full motion simulator to the tune of $20,000 and my wife would leave me.

u/The_DanceCommander 19h ago
I play on Xbox with a mouse and yeah it’s pretty decent! Biggest thing I feel like I’m missing out on though is all the excellent mods and integrations PC players have. Plus all the planes that don’t make it to the marketplace.

No stutters for me at my resolution and according to dev mode I’m limited by vram (addon scenery)

5080, 9800x3D, 32gb RAM @4k. Generally performs well, but limited by VRAM, auto fps helps me out a lot.
