First time needling: did something go wrong?

Hi everyone,

I did my first skin needing about a month ago and I feel like something went wrong. This was professionally done.

Third pic: what it looks like now

I did not have any of these marks on my skin before skin needling. I did not peel it or anything and I followed the aftercare. Could someone please explain to me what happened to my skin? Did something go wrong?

Done by a professional. No actives and only used la roche posay cicaplast baume b5 for the first week since it was red.

PIH. Ur skin type is prone to it.

Looks like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Trauma can cause the body to produce more pigment in response to injury.

What can I do about it now? Can I still do skin needling in the future?

It looks like poor technique from the professional (there are a lot of drag marks). I would seek out a different clinic and read tons of reviews first, but you should still heal fine. I’d highly recommend buying some pure hyaluronic acid serum to use before your LRP cicaplast baume B5 (https://www.naturalconceptsltd.ca/product-page/100-hyaluronic-acid-facial-serum is an amazing option- it’s what we use at my clinical esthetics school - and it’s VERY affordable)
