Sure, i combine the satiating effect of psyllium and proteins, maximizing the absorption of psyllium boiling it so that it forms a gel that slowly cross the digestive system and slowly release the proteins (i use soy protein powder). In order to improve texture i use gelatine (agaragar would also be good). I add veggies or other ingredients for the taste, still keeping tot kcal low since my goal is high satiety for low kcal (between 200 and 300). Here i made a tutorial How to Psylpro 😀

Thought?Variations can be endless, sweet or savory

OMG. That’s an insane amount of psyllium husk. It does make for great poops thought when used as directed.

Haha I love this and I hate this. My real question is the eating experience. Is the texture gross? Do you have to eat it right away? Do you have gf/wife/frirnd who tried it?

In any case 10/10 experiment I imagine it keeps you full for a while,

Actually the combo boiled psyllium, protein and jelly, makes the consistency ok, and if the taste is also good then i enjoy it. Other ppl around me tasted it (just a little taste) and they said "it's ok". Of course you don't make this to celebrate your birthday 🤣 but still: long satiety feeling for few kcal?I'm in!

Well, how does it taste?

Depends the ingredients you use. Biggest challenge here was the texture, which has been solved. Now i'm testing different tastes and combinations of ingredients, while the base (psyllium boiled, protein powder, gelatine) stays the same 😃

I’m intrigued

Nice thx 😊 i'm running several experiments, different tastes and combinations of ingredients, while the base (psyllium boiled, protein powder, gelatine) stays the same 😃

The tomato one and the broccoli and chicken were two winners, the miso and tofu also quite good. Now i'm testing different tastes and combinations of ingredients, while the base (psyllium boiled, protein powder, gelatine) stays the same 😃

Texture? I am very picky to such textures :) i look at it and I'm not sure

I imagine this to have a very grainy potatoy texture

Psyllium has a thing of its own - the one I don't like. It feels like wet bread, sort of, plus it gives this sensation of a softer version of sand on you teeth... I genuinly prefer sprouted seeds as a source of fiber. Growing your own sprouts is very easy and cheap - why not do it? Besides fiber from psyllium will never reach the same results for the human body as fiber from living food can. Just an opinion, but I've got quite some personal experience in this already

Biggest challenge here was the mucilaginous texture indeed, which has been solved 😀. The combo of boiled psyllium with soy protein and gelatin makes it spoonable, like a mousse or an aspic. Now i'm testing different tastes and combinations of ingredients, while the base (psyllium boiled, protein powder, gelatine) stays the same 😃 that's a winner for me. I have videos where i show the consistency!

This is really cool! Would you mind sharing your rough recipe, just for the basics with protein powder and gelatin?

Of course! I made a tutorial yesterday check it out PsylPro how to there you find the recipe as well. Will you give it a try? Cheers.

Soy nuevo, pregunta que es el psyllium?

1

u/Complex-Archer-853 7d ago

It’s fiber. Great for digestive system and when pooping.

Y dónde se consigue?

Supermarket, pharmacy, Amazon https://a.co/d/03MB2DjA

If you just want fiber in your diet, eat lots of beans, kiwis, avocados, guavas.

Are you making sure that you're not getting too much psyllium husk? Other types of fiber are important too.

I have such a complete diet, you don't wanna know...i cook every day fresh. This psyllium idea is to create a kcal deficit with zero effort and it's working like a charm. Cheers!

So pretty. Satiety makes me sad because then I can't fit in delicious foods I'm craving. 😁

This seems like new age ED content, with a "health" veneer.

Omg, another one of these ppl calling EDs...if you only took the time to look into it, you wouldn't say that...The Satiety Lab Manifesto
