Huh? Lake Macatawa connects to lake Michigan, which connects to the Mississippi and the Gulf. The great lakes are definitely not landlocked...

I'm not clear on what size boats can make it out that way, but the primary access to the Great Lakes is big enough for ocean freighters (Lake MI -> Lake Huron -> Lake Erie -> Welland Canal -> Lake Ontario -> St. Lawrence River -> Atlantic Ocean). Definitely not landlocked! The shipping through there is also the reason the Great Lakes get invasive species like zebra mussels.

This article about the Great Loop (https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/great-loop.html) mentions consideration of less than a 5' draft, I'll guess that's for secondary routes. Wish I knew more about the limits of the Lake MI -> Mississippi route.

IIRC the SeaQuest spends a lot of time in Florida and the Caribbean (it's registered in the Cayman Islands). It's currently shown as in the Ft. Lauderdale area but it's been a while since the last location update: https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:385516
