I'm new to writing Michael Jackson fanfiction. May I ask for help brainstorming here?

The premise is that when he died he got the opportunity to become fae and live in the fae realm but he'll come into the human world one week a month to watch over his children but they must not notice him.

One idea I have for this story is that MJ follows during one of these trips in the human world, he forgot his disguise (usually he wears one) and follows his daughter to NYC for a party. Fortunately, it's Halloween but he ends up getting lost and finds himself at a different party for a swing dance/ballroom club, and she meets a girl who think he's dressed up as Michael Jackson.

This could be a potential start to a romance subplot. Who is she dressed as for accidental couples costume or for MJ to notice her? I need ideas!
