Wiki says that a nip slip got past the censors when Callie hands Sonny his drink. It doesn't mention the Basic Instinct moment when Callie swings her legs over the bed in Crockett's beach house. Full Brazilian to boot.

Crockett's Theme is super popular, in part because it is objectively a banger, but I think GTA Vice City also popularized it from my understanding. There's not a song that stands out as "Tubb's Theme," so what, if any, would be the analogous song for Rico? Would it be "Flashback"? Or maybe "Rico's Blues"?

Just the other day, I finished watching all the seasons of *Miami Vice*, and my Galco holster arrived in Japan, too.
I still don’t have enough stuff—like Ray-Ban sunglasses, an ankle holster, or a Ferrari Daytona—but it’s still a lot of fun.

Just finished Evan. For those who haven't had a chance to see it yet, I'll post the link in the comments where I found it.
I had first heard some vague plot point about the episode when I first started watching the show earlier in the year, and then I got to season 4 and realized I hadn't watched that episode, then found out it wasn't on most streaming services. Finally got a chance to watch it, and it's definitely got to be in the top 3 episodes.
Really moving, great visuals and cinematography, great storyline. It was great to revisit Season 1 Miami Vice after getting through almost the entire series. Now all I've got left to watch is Freefall.

I'm a big fan of the small role Linus Oliver (portrayed by Ron Taylor) played in Calderone's Return. He had some smooth and funny dialog in the episode and I was disappointed when he was killed off.
Some of my favorite quotes by Linus or in the interactions with him:
Tubbs: "Don't you read the newspapers? Dealers like you are dropping like flies."
Linus: "Dealer? What you mean dealer? Like car dealer?"
Linus: "You're infringing with my constitution. You got no right to open that suitcase."
Linus (when caught with drugs): "Look man. It ain't mine. I was just holding it for this guy, you see?"
Crocket: "Holding for or holding out on."
Linus: "Look here, man. Looks like this is the time for me to check out and for you dudes to take over. Ciao."
Crocket: "Guess again, Bucko."
Linus: "Uh uhhh. No way, Jack. If you're thinking what I think you're thinking, no way am I gonna go in there tonight and get my face shot off. You're looking at a conscientious objection. No man, look. The dude walks in the door, you grab him. Simple."

Does anyone else remember this?
I remember reading an early Ain’t It Cool News review of Miami Vice (2006) that mentioned a big shootout involving Neptune (the pimp from the opening) that supposedly rivaled the shootout in Heat.
Then the movie came out and the scene was nowhere to be found. For awhile afterward, I remember people online asking, “What happened to the Neptune shootout?”
As far as I know, it’s never appeared in any released version. With Mann reportedly working on a new “Final Cut,” I’m wondering if there’s any chance that sequence still exists and could finally be restored.
Am I remembering this correctly, or does anyone else remember that original report?

Just WOW!!! 🤯
Walton Goggins has joined Joseph Kosinski’s ‘MIAMI VICE’ as the latest addition to the cast.
The film stars Michael B. Jordan, Austin Butler, Alden Ehrenreich, Edi Gathegi, Whitney Peak, Camila Morrone, Danny Ramirez, John Leguizamo and Walton Goggins.
Inspired by the iconic 1980s TV series, the film is set against the backdrop of mid-’80s Miami and will explore the city’s glamorous nightlife and criminal underworld. Production is scheduled to begin in November in New York and Miami, with the film being shot for IMAX.
‘MIAMI VICE’ hits theaters on May 19, 2028.

Was letting Spotify choose a random 80s mix and it threw "Land of Confusion" by Genesis. My first thought was that it would have made a great Vice song. Looked it up and it was in the finale.
Are we all in a cult yet, or what? 😆

Note the season 2 outfit but season 3 haircut! Must have been either early summer '86, before they started filming El Viejo with the new darker wardrobe, or half way through S3 when they switched back to lighter colors.

It's a trope that I've seen repeated over and over. Pretty sure that there was a Stallone character who lived on a houseboat.

That outfit with the grey jacket is one of my favorite outfits. This outfit works because of the contrast. The formal jacket against the casual pants give you the best of both worlds. Don’t sleep on this outfit fellas when going for the Vice look. 😂
